Fr Heigo Ritsbek at Dedication of Victory Statue

Estonia is a young republic, established on February 24, 1918. The Soviet Union attacked and began the Estonian War for Independence (1918-1920). In a peace treaty signed on March 2, 1920, The Soviet Union promised never to attack Estonia again (actually it did 1940). To commemorate this victory in the War Independence The Victory Statute was commemorated on June 22, 2009.
Church leaders from around Estonia joined President Toomas Henrik in dedicating this statue.
